Today you need to continue looking up prices and creating your computer. Plan to have the parts of your computer picked out by the end of today. You will not need to turn that list in yet, but you should have it basically finalized so that you can begin creating your advertising campaign. As you get the parts, remember to think about how you can make this computer unique. Also, remember to list the website you found the cost for each item.

Today you will be working in groups of three to create a computer. The computer you are creating will be custom built for a particular use (multimedia, gaming, business, etc). You will do research online to find the best prices on items. You will also be choosing what type and quality of each piece of hardware to make your computer the best possible for its use. You have a budget of $3,000. Once you have decided on all the parts you need for the computer, you will also be creating a marketing presentation to advertise this computer.

Use this site as a guide as you create a sheet (in Excel) listing each of the items you will use http://glencoe.mcgraw-hill.com/olc/dl/271321/Act04_1.pdf. The "Computer" row needs to be separated into the following rows:

1. Case
2. Motherboard
   
3. Processor
   
4. Power Supply
5. Hard Drive
6. RAM
7. Video Card
8. Network Card

You do not necessarily need a Zip Drive (these are not used much anymore).
You may also include extra peripheral items to improve the computer or to make things easier.

As you go through this project, remember to keep in mind the goal of your computer. Also, be thinking about ways you can make this computer unique.

I will not expect anyone to have all the answers. Make sure the file is saved into the class folder, and that you have included the search criteria as well as the URL for the information you found.
