Computer Infomercial

Today you will be working in your groups to create a computer. The computer you are creating will be custom built for a particular use (multimedia, gaming, business, etc). You will do research online to find the best prices on items. You will also be choosing what type and quality of each piece of hardware to make your computer the best possible for its use. You have a budget of $2,500. Once you have decided on all the parts you need for the computer, you will need to create an infomercial to advertise this computer. I have given you a sheet with a list of items necessary for the computer. The "Computer" row needs to be separated into the following rows:
Case
Motherboard
Processor
Power Supply
Hard Drive
RAM
Video Card
Network Card

You may want to consider different styles of display (multiple monitors, projector, etc.)

You do not necessarily need a Zip Drive (these are not used much anymore). You may also include extra peripheral items to improve the computer or to make things easier. As you go through this project, remember to keep in mind the goal of your computer. Also, be thinking about ways you can make this computer unique.

Once you have done the research on the computer, you will need to begin planning your infomercial. Your infomercial should be 90 seconds, EXACTLY! Plan it, practice it! Next Friday we will present our infomercials.

Web Search

http://searchenginez.com/tutorial.html
http://www.sc.edu/beaufort/library/pages/bones/bones.shtml

Here are a couple of sites with information about web searches (the second is the one we were looking at yesterday.)

I would like you to find:
a site that has a link to my webpage (http://whittakersingapore.blogspot.com/)
information about a Michael Jordon that was not a star in the NBA
a website based in England with the rules of cricket
the name and team of the first winner of the Cy Young award in baseball
A webpage with "The Invisible Web" for a title; what is the invisible web?

For each search, include the website, the search engine, and the search criteria.
